Saturday, Jan. 30 – SEAN TROTTER & special guest D Jay Moons.
You’ll remember Shawn as the virtuoso guitar & mandolin player with Breakfast at the Apollo. Couldn’t resist including D Jay’s bio: D Jay grew up near Sarnia, Ont. and left as soon as he got a driver’s license and a set of wheels. He then pursued his dream of becoming a musician, a dream he is currently living. Drawing on all styles of music including rock, blues, pop, folk, celtic, country and a recently discovered psycho-billy, Moons adds subtle yet strong musical convictions to all performances. Indeed he did not stop with piano and bass but can also play guitar. Then one night someone broke into his car. Nothing was stolen, but they left an accordion. Thus began a love for that instrument that continues to this day. "There's literally hundreds of dollars to be made playing music", quips Moons. Play on D Jay. Play on. www.shawntrotter.com

You’ve been asking us to play for you & we’re more than happy to oblige. We’ve invited our friend Joanne to join us. She was a star in the folk-driven 60s & has become a fine, gutsy singer, songwriter & memorable presence with CDs produced by Paul Mills, with whom she also performs as a duo. Good, solid guitar player too! www.joannecrabtree.com/joannecrabtree
